Linear units have numerous configuration options that can be adapted for a wide variety of applications. A user-friendly concept is needed to clearly display these individualization options. This is made possible by the new online configurator, which can be used to specify the central parameters of a single tube inear unit and output them in real time.
The online configurator offers several advantages over standard versions. In addition to customizability, the ordering process can run more efficiently because the system immediately checks the selection for plausibility. Thanks to the simultaneous transfer of options into 3D data sets, it is possible to check immediately whether the selected configuration fits into one's own design. This is a particularly valuable aspect for time-critical tasks.
The configurator is logically structured and guides the user through the individual steps. The first step is the selection of the actual linear unit - six variants are available, with round or square cross-section, with one or two spindles, with different lengths, strokes, diameters and spindle types. In the second step, one determines the shaft journals, for example, according to the axis design. The next level is dedicated to accessories in the form of handwheels, clamping plates, position indicators or torque supports. And finally, the traversing slides themselves are available for selection.
The system always automatically checks in the background whether the specifications are compatible and plausible, and the configured inear unit can be placed directly in the quote request basket. Incorrect orders are thus virtually ruled out. A one-time registration is necessary in advance to place the components to the quote request.
And to ensure that the configuration is traceable, all values can be retrieved from the system as well as derived from the referenced part numbers. This means that further identical deliveries can be made easily and reliably. Of course, personal advice is still available for more complex tasks by phone or e-mail.
